An enjoyable hike across the Gurten: from the gentle Lowlands to the rugged Highlands. Equipped with a whisky glass, you will visit various stations with selected whiskies, fine culinary snacks and fascinating stories about the "water of life" – naturally with the best view over Bern.

During the walk, whiskies from the most important regions of Scotland take centre stage, accompanied by culinary delicacies and exciting anecdotes. A special highlight is the tour of the Highland-Gurten's own whisky distillery, which provides an insight into local production.

Procedure & detailed information
The meeting point and first stop is the Gurtenbahn valley station.

The Whisky Walk involves an easy walk from Gurten-Kulm to the Highland-Gurten and back again. Whiskies and matching nibbles are tasted at various stops.
A tour of the whisky distillery is part of the Whisky Walk.

The walk takes place in groups with a maximum of 20 participants. The start time is determined with the ticket selection. The event lasts around 4 hours from the start.

After the event, Restaurant Gurtners offers a suitable 3-course menu for the participants.

The event is a collaboration between Highland-Gurten, Gurten - Park im Grünen, Rugenbräu AG and the Whisky Library.
