We recommend the Full Moon Fondue primarily for adults, as children have a different tolerance to the cold. Therefore, only adult tickets are available. However, if you would still like to bring children, they are of course welcome. Children up to the age of 12 pay half price, which can be settled on the day. Please state the number of children in the ‘Comments’ field when booking.
Experience the full moon up close: optional moon-viewing session at the observatory
Enhance your full moon fondue with a special nature experience: a guided moon-viewing session at the Gurten Observatory. Together with the experts from Astro Events, you’ll explore the full moon through the Gurten telescope and learn fascinating facts about its origins, surface and intriguing characteristics.
The observation session lasts around 45 to 60 minutes and takes place outdoors at the observatory after dessert. As well as the full moon, we’ll also be looking at other bright celestial objects that are clearly visible despite the full moon. Depending on the season, these may include, for example, star clusters, double stars or planets.

We recommend wearing weather-appropriate clothing; blankets are provided.
